Cat and Dog
December 10, 2009I was sitting down on a chair, and a guy I shall call Jobasha (as in the Argonian bookseller) was seated nearby. He has a big dog who was walking by, and then the dog approached me and was behind my chair. I was afraid of the dog so I didn’t dare look, and then I could feel the dog’s face right behind my neck. Suddenly, to our surprise, the dog started sniffing my back and was gently pushing me with his nose, affectionately. Occasionally he’d lick the skin on my back (I think I was wearing a halter top that would shift into a tee shirt). Jobasha laughed and said I’ve nothing to be afraid of, but I should still be careful because the dog might be too playful.
Later on, the dog was on my right side and was doing the same thing to my right hand. I looked towards Jobasha, who sat on my left, and said I am starting to be afraid again because he might bite my hand. Just then, he suddenly bit my hand, gently, yet he didn’t let go, and I could feel his teeth sinking deeper into my hand. I told Jobasha it is starting to hurt, and he said he can’t just pull the dog away because my hand might be more hurt. Then, he called the dog’s name, and the dog let go to look at him. Just then, Jobasha sprung forward to make the dog leave so he would no longer bite me, but suddenly, it was my sister’s cat sitting there when I looked, and it was him who bit me, even if the teethmarks belonged to the dog. Then the dog was just sitting nearby all along. Instinctively, Jobasha grabbed the cat and THREW him hard, that the cat flew to the wall, near the ceiling, hit the wall hard, and fell to the floor. He landed on his feet, but his hair was standing on end because it was very afraid of being thrown like that, and quite unused to being hurt by a human. It quickly ran under my chair, and then it was gone. I looked at my wound and showed it to Jobasha, saying it hurt really really bad, and we saw that my hand had a deep wound on the palm and one on the top of my hand. Skin barely covered the wound and I could see the bloody flesh beneath it.
Later on, I was looking for the cat to hug it, to tell it that Jobasha was just trying to teach him a lesson, but that I will not hurt him, I saw him afterwards, his hair disheveled, and I wanted to hug him but he was distraught and tried to get away. I can’t remember if I was able to hug him. But the whole time, my hand hurt tertibly.
